The building incorporates the two historical themes from Carver from 1850 to 1950: quarry rock and logging. This restaurant was built by Mike Rosenbaum, son of local logger Lloyd Rosenbaum, to preserve some of Carver's rich history. I have no idea how you managed all this, ladies, but it was great. My daughter, who knows about this stuff, thought the leek soup and the artichoke-and-asparagus crepe were, direct quote,“fantastic.” The lunch room can’t be any larger than it used to be, but it somehow feels that way and is bright and comfortable. The show-room area had been enlarged, re-fitted, and made into a space with the look and feel of a cheerful little boutique - all the more surprising to be found inside a historic cabin.
